How to train German Shepherd - Two most vital point you should never forget

The original aim to develop this bread was herding therefore; this bread is highly active and can easily tolerate lots of exercise. To have a physical fit and happy German shepherd you have to devote some time everyday behind it to give its require exercise and certainly to have a happy, well adjusted , well behaved German shepherd as your family member it must have training as they are dominating by nature.

Before go to train your dog learn a secret of German shepherd characteristic, it is vital and the most important point you must know to start him teaching. If you follow this rule any teaching will be easy to you.

Consistency

If you already have a dog you should know what I am talking about. This breed requires sufficient time, attention and patience to be trained effectively. Dog training is simply “prize and punishment”. No it is not physical punishment. Give a puppy a prize or praise when it obey you and not giving his prize is punishment to him – pain and simple method and basic of any dog training. Following this method consistently will eventually train your German Shepherd (GSD). Training your dog will eventually enhance a special bond with you.

Dominance

Beginner trainers should know that dog’s actions and activity is governed by instinct and every dog is different from other in reference to mood, personality etc, just like human being. You may a have a shy or hyper active dog. What ever may be, all dog can be trained eventually when you become his boss and he gained faith on you. A trainer has to know how to balance the instinct with conditioned behavior. So learning the instinct of 

German Shepherd is important and you have to learn that first.

Dog follow a hierarchy in their pack and every dog obey a specific dog, alpha dog. When you bring a puppy to home he takes all the member of your family as the member of his pack and similarly your German Shepherd needs an Alpha dog who he obey and he become happy when it occurs. Just be the Alpha dog to him. Love your dog but never pamper.

When German Shepherd instinctively recognized you as Alpha dog by natural dominating nature initially sometime lead him to disobey and misbehave or ignoring command that he has already learned. Don’t to dishearten or be rude just firmly, consistently and repeatedly make him obey. Dominate him rather then be dominated, never let him forget that you are the supreme leader.

These two points is most vital and never forget whenever you go to train your German Shepherd or any other dog.
